Great presentations from Khalyd and Jessica!
If you have questions for Paul about Scripps graduate research or the SURF program, please use the chat or Q&A function in the Zoom app.
One CSUSM and Iafe lab alum, Omar Apolinar, is currently enrolled in the Skaggs-Oxford Scholarship program. Please check out his poster tomorrow if you’d like to hear about his science and have questions about this program.
Last year we were very excited to see ~10 applications from CSUSM students to our SURF program, with at least 1 accepted. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the program due to the pandemic.
(don’t have the exact number on hand, sorry)
Questions about the Scripps Research PhD program or SURF: email email@example.com
@Carmen, here is a link to FAQs and publicly available statistics. No minimum GPA. I am looking into the GPA stats your asked about now.
Last year, we held in-person workshops before the PhD app deadline and the SURF deadline. We are planning to offer these again (likely in virtual format), so please stay tuned.
I imagine many of you are feeling surveyed-out, but please take a min to offer feedback to Ryan: https://forms.gle/Lwxb1kMDdwYZXQpX9
